within the DMV-Fachgruppe Stochastik and

Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science, Wroclaw University of Technology,

organize the 8th Workshop "Stochastic Models and Their Applications", which will be held from March 19 to March 23, 2007, in the John Paul II's Hotel situated in the oldest part of the city of Wroclaw (Poland).

Komitet Matematyki Polskiej Akademii Nauk is also the coorganizer of the Workshop.

Tuesday:      before noon: contributed talks;

in the afternoon: guided sightseeing in the oldest part of the city; contributed talks;

in the evening: meeting of the Society;

Wednesday:      before noon: contributed talks;
                    in the afternoon: a journey outside of Wroclaw;                                           

Thursday:      before noon: contributed talks;
                    in the afternoon: contributed talks; in the evening: banquet;

Friday: breakfast, departure.

Registration Deadline:

Authors of contributed talks (about 30 minutes) are requested to send an abstract (in English) in LATEX
( Abstract template ) by January 20, 2007, at the latest.

Conference Registration Fee

30 Euro; for members of the Society: 25 Euro.

All participants will be accommodated in the John Paul II's Hotel. The accommodation cost, including full food, for one person, one day and single room amounts to about 232 PLN (58 Euro). It is somewhat cheaper to share a room.

Contributed talks can be in German as well as in English (slides should be in English).

There is a limited number of underground garages (7 places under the hotel) available for the participants. The price is 20 PLN per day. If you wish to have such a garage, please indicate this in the registration form. Aside from that there are calm places in front of the hotel to park.
