We encourage students, young scientists and experienced researchers to come to Wroc³aw to learn and exchange ideas and knowledge.  Wroc³aw is a multicultural metropolis. In 1702 Emperor Leopold I of the Austro-Hungarian empire founded a Jesuit Academy in Wroc³aw, which was a two-faculty university. The state-financed University of Wroc³aw was founded in 1811. At the beginning of the 20th century the University of Wroc³aw boasted several Nobel Prize winners among its faculty. In 1910 a Technical College was founded. In the following year, an Academy of Fine Arts was created. After the Second World War, when Wroc³aw became part of Poland, the first academic year began on November 15th, 1945. From that time Wroc³aw has been one of the strongest academic centers in Poland. Among others, the following were born in Wroc³aw: Felix Hausdorff, Reinhard Selten. The following have lived and worked in Wroc³aw: Constantin Carathéodory, Hugo Dyonizy Steinhaus, Otto Toeplitz . Currently, Czes³aw Ryll-Nardzewski works and lives in Wroclaw.

The conference will be held at Wroc³aw University of Technology in a new Conference Center.
