On 22-24 October 2004 the Hugo Steinhaus Center will organize a seminar to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the journal "Applicationes Mathematicae" founded by Hugo Steinhaus and the first graduates' meeting of a highly successful program "Financial and Actuarial Mathematics" which has been running at WUT since 1994.
